How to find your Google Analytics Tracking ID and View ID?

To find your Google Analytics Tracking ID and View ID first you need to have a Google Analytic account (Check the previous post for how to set a google analytic account).

You need a Unique View Id and Tracking ID for retrieving Analytics data.Tracking Id is under the traffic info of property section.View ID  is buried deep under  the View Section of Analytics admin area, when you go to the admin section and look at the top right column (which is labeled  as"views"). Select the view you want to query from the dropdown and go to "view settings", then there you find the id.To start with:

1.Type Google Analytic in search bar.
             

                                             


2. Click on Google Analytics

3. Sign in to your Google Analytic Account



4.Click on Admin Tab on Navigation Bar



5.Select or type an account from the drop down under Account Section
  (Admin->Account)






6.Click on Tracking Info under Property Section in the Top Middle of the Page
   (Admin->Property->Tracking Info)


7.Click on Tracking Code under Tracking Info
   (Admin->Property->Tracking Info->Tracking Code)


8.Find the Tracking Id and Website Tracking Script. Tracking Id is Something in the form of string like UA-3444555-01 you need to tell analytic which account and property to send the data to.Tracking Code is a piece of script that perform function of collecting data from a website and finally sending it to Analytic to generate the report.



9.Now let us find the View Id.Click on the View Setting under View Section
(Admin->View->View Setting)




10.View ID is located under Basic Setting of View Setting
(Basic Setting ->View Setting->View ID)



11.Copy the Unique View Id for retrieving Analytic Data
